Mooble House UK, a subsidiary of Adventure Leisure Vehicles Ltd (ALV), is located in Tebay, Cumbria. ALV was established in 2005 with a specific mission of introducing Airstream Travel Trailers to the European market. Over time, the company expanded its offerings to include other esteemed leisure vehicle brands like ERIBA, KNAUS, T@B Caravans, HYMER, and Landseer Camper Vans, among others.

In 2021, the surge in staycation holidays in the UK, prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, revealed a notable gap in the market. People were increasingly seeking a home-away-from-home experience or the convenience of an additional room or office on their own property.

During their search for innovative solutions, ALV came across Mooble House based in Kağıthane, Istanbul, Turkey. Mooble House, a division of a global steel construction company specializing in large corporate steel-framed buildings, caught ALV’s attention due to the impressive modern design, excellent towability, and robust manufacturing process of their Tiny Houses.

With the goal of bringing these architect-designed Tiny Houses to the UK market, ALV approached Mooble House in 2022. Collaboratively, they worked to adapt and refine the Tiny Houses, incorporating ALV’s expertise and customer preferences.

Mooble Manufacturing Process

Mooble Tiny House frames are meticulously crafted using Light Gauge Steel (LGS) on an AL-KO twin axle chassis. The LGS material is skillfully formed into u-shaped profiles, boasting CE and ISO certifications for exceptional quality and reliability. These profiles are carefully assembled, forming the solid and precise 3D wall panel frames that define Mooble Tiny Houses.

The use of LGS brings numerous advantages to the construction process. Its exceptional flexibility and lightweight properties make it an ideal choice for road transportation, ensuring easy mobility without compromising structural integrity. Additionally, the galvanization of the LGS frames provides a protective layer, eliminating the risk of corrosion and ensuring long-lasting durability.

Moving to the interior, the Mooble Tiny Houses feature Birch or pine marine plywood applications, serving as a sturdy foundation for the mechanical infrastructure. This high-quality plywood contributes to the overall structural strength and ensures a reliable interior framework.

On the exterior, mineral or rock wool insulation is skillfully inserted between the frames, offering excellent thermal performance tailored to customer preferences. This insulation is carefully sealed with marine plywood, providing an additional layer of protection. To enhance weather resistance, a waterproof shield layer is applied on top of the marine plywood. The exterior is further enhanced by the secure attachment of aluminium cladding, adding a sleek and modern aesthetic to the Tiny Houses. The design is elevated with Finnish pine detailing, carefully incorporated to enhance the overall appeal.
